I have more than twenty years experience as a professional photographer. I work in Bristol, Bath, Somerset, Gloucestershire and the West Country. Assignments also regularly take me around the country for many well known corporate and commercial clients.

Currently I use the wonderful Nikon D700 DSLR camera mounted with various excellent Nikkor lenses, including the remarkable 24-70mm f/2.8G ED AF-S NIKKOR which Nikon describes as: 'Designed for digital, this lens rivals that of fixed focal length lenses for edge to corner sharpness, and features a Nano Crystal coating to minimize ghost and flare.' It's probably the best lens I've ever owned and I have purchased more than fifty or so through the years and tried countless more!

Digital media is always supplied by Lexar. Studio & location lighting by Bowens, Nikon & Metz. Tripods and stands by Manfrotto and reflectors & backgrounds by Lastolite. Calumet Photographic is the Professional dealer I would recommend, try the Bristol store at Station Road, Montpelier. Professional photographic printing exclusively by Clifton Colour.

Back-up's include: Nikon digital cameras D2x and D100 many other Nikon 35mm cameras, Hasselbad medium format cameras 503CX and 500C/M and a Horseman Large Format view camera. The non-digital Hasselbad's and Horseman are currently in semi-retirement.

I use Apple Mac computers and software by Adobe, including Photoshop CS5 and Dreamweaver. Also various other pieces of mac software are utilized including the excellent iView MediaPro browser and Graphic Converter, these are used with Photoshop during the post photography workflow.
Recently another application has been added, Nikon Capture NX2, it contains several features missing from Photoshop including 'Color Control Points'. Links for these recommendations can be found on the Links page.
